Taggarts Ice Cream Parlor in Canton

Giant sundaes and great service. Loved the feel of this neighborhood, family-spot. Great selection of sandwiches with a diner like feel. They probably don't encourage it, but it was cool to see guests notes scribbled into the booths. Our server was friendly, patient as we asked which sides came with the sandwiches and which ones were roasted (all) as well as very prompt with delivering the check when asked. They have a collection of tshirts for sale at the front of the boutique as well. Love!

First time in 44 years and the best cm cm

Food is always well made and the staff is friendly. I’ve been eating here since I was little and have never been disappointed.

Taggarts is, what some may call, The Bee's knees. Others may call it the cat's pajamas. No matter what your preference this is a great place to get ice cream.

Love this place. U will never get bad food. The ice cream is so good. I go every fall and get a snappy sundae. Pumpkin ice cream, homemade chewy gingersnaps, salted pecans and caramel. Yumm

Lots of feel good food here and then you top it off with ice cream.

use to love this place last 3 times I've gone my order has been wrong and I got attitude from the staff, also I am waiting and the young kids are all watching a video on someone's phone, it didn't use to be this way makes me sad.

Great food at a great price. Places like this are few and far between. Treat yourself and go.

This ice cream shop is exactly what it is... it's iced flavored cream! Is freaken phenomenal! Couple table outside to sit so it can be dog friendly. I had to get my ice cream to go, but the ones they made for people dinning in had me drooling before I even tried it.

Amazingly generous portion sizes.. better come hungry for some good ice cream!

Terrible!! Ive went here for years. Last night there was an industrial staple in my Sundae ( which got into my mouth). They simply said sorry and took $5 off my bill. I asked to speak with a manager and was informed that the manager was really busy and could not come talk to me. Not once was I asked if I was ok or anything of that nature. Thank goodness it was me and not a child!! Very poor customer service!!!

I have been going to Taggarts since I was in High School at Lehman. We used to go there for lunch. The food has always been very good & when I went this past Monday, I have to say I was more than pleased. The chili is still exceptional & just as I remember it. We also had the Apple dumpling for dessert & it was fanominal! But it was so big that we had to take half of it to go! The prices are spot on for the proportions & you will not leave hungry, by any means. Great food j great service at a long established community establishment💕

Today we had their frypie desserts.I had the Raspberry with Vanilla ice cream and Raspberry compote,the other had the blueberry with vanilla ice cream and blueberry compote.Both were FABULOUS. Never been disappointed when stopping at Taggarts .

Great historical ice cream shop. It feels like your stepping back in time. The food was great and the desserts were amazing! The service was great and the prices are reasonable. Definitely a place I'll return to.

Another one of those restaurants you have to visit when you are in the area. Definitely a cheap, and delicious family tradition! Their friend zucchini is a favorite of mine and pairs really well with their homemade burgers!

A great local diner and ice cream shop. Food is decent, with mostly typical diner fare such as burgers, chicken, and fries. My server was very friendly and attentive. The ice cream is delicious, with a wide variety of flavors, sundae options, toppings, and signature desserts. Definitely worth checking out Taggarts for dessert.

Great food and ice cream. Is an iconic stop in Canton and a regular for our family. If it's your first time, you must try the famous Bittner.

This is one of those places that I keep forgetting how great it is until I end up finding myself back in there. I've cream is phenomenal. It's also a great place for lunch. Awesome homemade ranch dressing. The vanilla was out of this world.... my daughter says she couldn't possibly go there anymore without getting one. Can be difficult to find parking, but that nice old soda shop feel of the place, and the fantastic food and service is well worth it.

I seriously detest this place. Slowest service I've ever had. Would rather shove razor blazes under my fingernails or chew on broken glass than come here. The staff really doesn't care at all that they take an eternity to prepare anything and if you say anything they roll their eyes like they are inconvenienced. It doesn't matter if you yourself are inconvenienced for their apparent lackadaisical service. You're just expected to shut up and wait and you'll get it when its convenient for them.

Great old ice cream parlor. Very busy. Ice cream was very good. I only had the banana, the coconut, and the Carmel. Would probably up my opinion after more trips. Friends had the special and were impressed.

Second time I’ve been here in two weeks. I had to send my sundae back twice today, the hot fudge was cold and it was not edible! When I ask the server for a new one she was back in literally two minutes with a new one that was still nasty there was no way she made me a new one!

Taggerts is always a great place to go. I always try and find a reason. When I take my kids to the Canton Charge game, I take them to Taggerts after the game. Great way to finish up the night.

Had butter pecan ice cream today but pecans weren't as great as usual .... Normal a salty taste on pecans but not today

One of my favorite places for ice cream and food.Been going here since my daughter was a baby.Stopped tonight at 10:10 n they were closed.Google said open til 11pm.Should have updated hours on google.Bummer since I so really needed some chocolate chip ice cream

A great place for a quick lunch or dinner with options ranging from burgers to salads. Amazing deserts as well. Also rated best ice cream of 2017! The service was quick but make sure you get here early as it does become busy!

This place is a iconic staple in Canton Ohio You cannot go wrong with stopping here grabbing a bite to eat I strongly suggest the fried vegetable platter and the Ruben. Not to mention they're fantastic ice cream they have!

Ice creams great a canton classic - love theBitner! Only thing that stinks about this place is the rent a cop who think he owns it - always harping at the employees and customers. Killed the enjoyable vibe of getting ice cream for the family.

Good ice cream with a great staff in a restaurant filled with movie Canton Taggarts and historic touches. Great variety of flavors.
